I. Overview
The electric lime soil unconfined compression tester, strain-type unconfined compression tester, and lime soil press are used to determine the axial pressure that highly saturated soft clay can withstand under conditions of unrestricted lateral movement until the specimen fails, in order to obtain the soil’s unconfined compressive strength. Additionally, the unconfined compressive strength test is used to determine the soil’s sensitivity. (Sensitivity is defined as the ratio of the unconfined compressive strength of undisturbed soil to that of remolded soil maintained at its natural moisture content.)
Complies with TG3430-2020 “Specifications for Highway Geotechnical Tests” and GB/T50123-2019 “Methods for Geotechnical Tests”
